How do I create a debit note?
Raise a debit note to a supplier to remove stock from inventory. Two methods are available.
A Debit Note records that you are returning medications to a supplier (damaged, excess, or expired stock). The selected quantity is permanently removed from inventory.
There are two ways to create a debit note.
Method 1: From Drug List (Separated View)
- Go to Drugs → Drug List.
- Switch to Separated View.
- Select one or more drugs.
- Click Generate Debit Note from the bulk actions toolbar.
- Enter the Quantity to Remove for each drug.
- Click Create Debit Note, then Confirm.

Generate Debit Note from Drug List
Select drugs in Separated View and use Generate Debit Note from the bulk actions toolbar.
Method 2: From Drugs → Create Debit Note
- Go to Drugs → Create Debit Note.
- Select the date and the supplier.
- Add drugs one by one in the table (Drug Name, Qty, Batch, Expiry, Cost, MRP, tax rates).
- Click Create Debit Note.

Create Debit Note page
Build a debit note from scratch by selecting supplier and adding drugs.
Once created, the stock is deducted immediately and the debit note appears under Billing Notes → Debit Notes.
Cannot be reversed
After confirmation, the stock is removed permanently. To get the stock back you must add it again through a purchase.
